I may have just had the most terrifying dream in my life…. I dreamt I was lying in my bed RIGHT HERE, and I kept “waking up” only to be frozen looking at one corner of my room right at a creepy presence. I realized it was a dream and I frantically tried to wake up, only to wake up over and over again gazing straight at It! I tried to move my body in the dream but nothing happened, just kept waking up again over and over to see It. I distinctly remember thinking “I’ve died in real life” or fallen in a coma and I was stuck in this dream forever with the Thing. I finally snapped awake after the millionth time trying to wake away from it. I know it’s cliché but I still DON’T KNOW IF I’M AWAKE. I’m not going back to sleep tonight.
When you lie awake late at night, reliving your life from your earliest memory. Attempting to recall all the defining events of your life, and the things that made you happy, and all the people you’ve known, and all the memorable experiences you’ve had. When you think about what kind of a person you are and where you’re going and which of it mattered. When you summarize your life so far, put things in perspective, and project your hopes for the future. When you realize you haven’t got much time and tomorrow is approaching fast and it might all amount to nothing.
It’s a little sobering.
Aw thank you lots! ^u^ Just so you know, I’d recognize your drawings anywhere :D
Sometimes simple is better. Don’t try to deck out one art piece with all the bells and whistles and techniques you know. In my experience, it has led to disaster, especially when I used tricks and shortcuts in place of real anatomy/lighting/composition knowledge. Maybe go for simple flat coloring when you have complex linework. Try using only one opacity brush. Experiment, doodle, and study!
